There was a visitor center called Lough Gur Heritage Centre near the circle. When we got there they told us they had some other event happening so we couldn't walk around. They showed us a map and told us we could do their audio tour of the grounds. It was raining steadily, but we went out for the hike anyways (without audio). Climbing up some rock steps there was a sign telling us to look out for fairies. Every so often there were little painted houses in the rocks for fairies to live. The above is a picture of a little fairy village. On the way back to the car, Amy said she saw little girls in princess dresses going into the building for an event.
